1.Introduction
EVIT (Enlightened Visionary Institute of Technology) is an online technology education platform operated by EVISIONARY TECH WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED. The platform delivers structured courses, modules, lessons, assignments, trial classes, mentor support, and learning dashboards at evit.org.in. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the platform.
2.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using EVIT, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
3.Eligibility
EVIT serves students, parents/guardians, tutors, and administrators. You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use the platform on your own behalf.
Where a learner is a minor under applicable law, a parent or legal guardian must register, provide consent, and supervise the minor’s use of the platform. The parent/guardian accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for their activity.
4.User Accounts
To access most learning features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security concern.
- Credentials are personal and must not be shared or transferred.
5.Roles and Access
EVIT uses a role-based access model:
- user — the default role assigned on signup, with access to public content and the ability to book a trial.
- student — granted after trial approval and/or enrollment; can access assigned course content and submit assignments.
- tutor — mentors who deliver and review assigned classes and submissions.
- parent — guardians linked to a learner where that feature is enabled.
- admin — EVIT staff who manage content, access, and operations.
The default signup role is user. Student access is granted only after trial approval or enrollment, and course access is controlled by EVIT through enrollments. We may modify roles and access to operate the platform and enforce these Terms.
6.Educational Services
EVIT provides online courses, modules, lessons, assignments, trial classes, mentor support, and learning dashboards. Course structures, schedules, mentorship formats, and features may evolve as part of continuous improvement, and specific outcomes are not guaranteed (see Disclaimers).
7.Trial Classes
You may request a trial class through the platform. Trial requests are subject to review, approval, and scheduling by EVIT. Trials may be rescheduled or cancelled, and a successful trial may lead to an offer of enrollment and upgrade to the student role. Booking a trial does not guarantee enrollment.
8.Payments and Refunds
Certain programs may require payment. Fees, billing terms, and refund eligibility are described at the point of purchase and in our Refund Policy. A dedicated Refund Policy page is being finalized; until it is published, refund terms provided at checkout and on request govern.
9.Certificates
Certificates issued by EVIT are skill, participation, or completion certificates that recognize learning activity on the platform. Unless explicitly stated in writing, they are not government degrees, university degrees, diplomas, or statutory/licensing qualifications, and do not by themselves confer any regulated professional status.
10.User Content
“User Content” includes assignment submissions, project files, uploaded files, comments, and profile information you provide. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to share it. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or violates another person’s rights.
11.Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, all platform materials — including the EVIT name, branding, trademarks, curriculum, course materials, lessons, media, user interface, software, and code — are owned by or licensed to EVISIONARY TECH WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of your original submissions. You grant EVIT a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, review, evaluate, and provide feedback on your submissions for the purpose of delivering the educational service and operating the platform securely. See our IP Infringement Policy for complaints.
12.Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- abuse, harass, threaten, or harm others;
- gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- share or sell credentials, or scrape or harvest platform data;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the platform;
- distribute malware, spam, or perform denial-of-service activity;
- infringe copyright or upload illegal material;
- attempt to bypass enrollment, payment, or access restrictions.
13.Academic Integrity
You agree to uphold academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating, impersonation, submitting another person’s work as your own, and misuse of AI tools in violation of assignment instructions are prohibited and may result in invalidated submissions, certificate revocation, or account action.
14.Platform Availability
We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues, and features may change or be discontinued.
15.Third-Party Services
EVIT relies on third-party providers such as hosting and database/authentication services (Supabase), email delivery, and, where applicable, payment processors, analytics, and video meeting tools. Your use of integrated third-party services may also be subject to their terms. See our Data & Compliance page for current categories of providers.
16.Termination / Suspension
We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, security risks, or to comply with legal obligations. You may stop using the platform at any time and request account closure.
17.Disclaimers
The platform and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. EVIT does not guarantee any specific employment, admission, examination result, income, certification recognition, or professional outcome.
18.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EVISIONARY TECH WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
19.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EVISIONARY TECH WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED, its officers, employees, and partners from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
20.Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
21.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are subject to the applicable courts in India.
